First Reconciliation & First Eucharist

1. What is First Reconciliation (Penance) & First Eucharist (Communion)?

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is the first time a child participates in these Sacraments.  In order to understand the importance of such a big step, children attend classes at the Parish to learn about the Sacraments.  This is the second step to becoming a full-fledged member of the Faith.

2. When can my child complete this Sacrament?

Parents may register their child(ren), in Grade 2 or 3, for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

3. Does my child have to be baptized Catholic to participate?

No!  If you wish for your child to participate in the First Reconciliation & First Eucharist but he/she was not baptized as a baby, please indicate that on the registration form.  Arrangements can be made for your child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism prior to their First Reconciliation & First Eucharist.

4. How?

Registration forms will be distributed through the school during the Fall of each school year.  You can also find the registration forms on our school website and on the Parish’s website:
